Assessments & Promotion

1. For classes I to V there will be a total of six formative assessments throughout the year. These assessments will be in the form of various activities and projects related to the subject, including pen and paper tests.

2. For class VI to X there will be 2 Summative Assessments and 4 Formative Assessments (As per CBSE norms) during one academic session.

3. SA 1 and SA 2 will be a pen and paper test for 100 marks as per time table. The formative assessments can be a number of tests (oral, projects, assignment or written) which will be intimated by the concerned teacher to the students. The average marks obtained will be entered in the report cards.

4. A students who completes the assignments and project work, appears in all class tests, summative and formative assessments and gets a minimum of 40% marks in each subject will be declared passed.

5. It is compulsory for every student to appear in all the formative and summative tests.

6. In the Science subjects, the practicals are a part of the formative assessment.

7. Request for rescheduling of tests will not be entertained. Due to sickness, if any child fails to appear in the assessments, a Medical Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner should be submitted within the examination period. In no case will re-examination be taken.

8. A Student who fails consecutively for two years in the same class will have to leave the school.

9. If a student does not submit the answer sheet to the invigilator and carries it out-side the examination room, he/she will be marked zero in the subject concerned and his/her admission may be cancelled.

10. The decision of the Principal in respect of any student shall be final and binding.
